Our dogs live with us inside the house. They take part in all our activities and love to show them at dogshows.

„Cache Royale“ is an FCI registered kennel since 2020, breeding in the Netherlands under „Raad van Beheer“.

about me

Welcome on my site from my kennel Cache Royale. A kennel with petit basset griffon vendeens, we often call them peebs. Okay I own a kennel and am a breeder, but I see myself more as a doglover. Absolutely not saying the one excludes the other.

We’re living in the Netherlands, but we have chosen to write the website in English so almost everyone can enjoy it. You can contact us by e-mail in English and of course in Dutch.

about the breed

The Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen (=PBGV) is a hunting breed, more precisely a scenthound. The name might sound a little weird to you, but will describe every important feature of them: Petit meaning small, Basset meaning low to the ground and Griffon is reffering to their harsh wire coat. Vendéen is the part of France they originate from. They are sturdy little hounds, loyal and joyful. They love the company of humans and other dogs. The breed’s nickname is „the happy breed“ because they keep on wagging their tail no matter what.

We are a small kennel located in the Netherlands. Our goal is to breed happy and healthy dogs. We have had two litters so far and plan to do very selective matings in the future.
